I bet we can automate that.

My first two projects as a management consultant were agonizingly boring, which meant that I had time to take a training in robotic process automation (RPA) software. I understood immediately that my project teammates and I were bored because the work we were doing was so routine that it could be automated. Worse still, our clients were bored, too. The worst part for our clients was that spending so much of their day on routine but necessary tasks meant that they had less time to spend on the inherently human parts of their jobs that were actually exciting, interesting, and highly valuable. They were frustrated that they did not have time to provide their customers with the high-quality, personalized service they needed to solve their toughest problems. These highly specialized professionals were bogged down in mundanity.

What I Do

I am obsessed with using AI & Automation technologies to improve customer service and employee job satisfaction. I design novel, repeatable solutions using emerging technologies to solve wicked problems – and then I build a business around them. I specialize in building teams that bring together the right technical and functional expertise to design solutions that people are excited to use and that deliver measurable results. I help translate between my business and IT clients so that they can align on a common vision and goals, and then I turn those ideas into action.

I design novel solutions

Delivering results quickly requires using the tools most readily available. But sometimes, designing the most complete solution will require evaluating new tools. I help clients evaluate their strategic goals and desired outcomes to design a solution that maximizes speed and value, while navigating a crowded and dynamic marketplace.

I get people to use them

Digital transformation requires both technology change management and workforce change management. In it’s most basic elements, change = loss + uncertainty. Demonstrating results and building community around influential champions lead to enthusiasm, which is a powerful tool in combating the sense of loss. Including end users in every step of the process avoids their uncertainty and leads to the development of a tool they want to use.

I demonstrate results

Justifying an investment requires delivering results. Results may be qualitative or quantitative – anything from improved client satisfaction scores, improved throughput, or cost reduction. Initial solution design should always consider how results will be measured and reported through automated mechanisms using data as near real-time as possible.

I build businesses

Ongoing solution sustainment will include maintaining model integrity, ongoing security, and change control governance. It will also include a plan for scaling the solution to new users or new use cases over time to maximize the return on the initial investment, through optimizing licenses and leveraging repeatable products and processes.
